Darrell Waltrip actually commented that it is time for Danicrap (my word) to start delivering on-track. She is in "top shelf" equipment and she has raced at that track previously. Is he finally acknowledging what many of us already knew. Basically, the hype that the 7th highest paid NASCAR driving has been getting has in no way been matched by her driving performances. She qualified 40th (I believe) while her boss is eight in ostensibly the same equipment. If people want to say she is NASCAR's media darling (and currently no more than that) then that is fine. But, to suggest that she is more than a media/entertainment object is an insult to all those race drivers with probably more talent who have and and are presently toiling at local levels in hopes that they will realize their dreams and get a shot at a Sprint Cup ride. If she delivers, THEN give her the accolades which will be good for her and for other young women hopefuls.
