Canada. I speak and write only 1 language fluently(english), but I can write code in a few :)</p> <p>Apologies in advance for any geek speak gobbly de gook about {html, databases, domains, what have you} if theres anything at all thats not clear, please feel free to reach out and ask any questions that you may have.</p> <h2>[my skills]</h2> <div><strong>> Experienced with <span style="text-decoration: underline;">server-side technologies</span> like asp.net, iis, nodeJS and RDBMs. </strong></div> <div><strong><br /></strong></div> <div>I have several years experience with developing <a href="http://asp.net/" target="_blank">asp.net</a> web sites and web applications. I am fluent in the C# programming language and have worked with several of microsofts asp.net programming paradigms including MVC and Pages. (currently exploring their newest incarnation of asp.net 5 )</div> <p>I also have experience with database design and development, ranging from microsoft access desktop databases to fully Relational DBMS including Oracle, MS SQL and MySQL. I have designed, built, deployed and maintained relational databases from the schema design to analyzing and optimizing query performance.</p> <div><strong><br /></strong></div> <div><strong>> Experienced with <span style="text-decoration: underline;">client-side technologies</span> like JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, HTML 5, CSS 3, and other modern client-side technologies like application development frameworks, libraries, ...</strong></div> <div> <p>I am definitely "at ease" working with client side technologies, i consider javascript as my first language, (C# a close second), have a peak at <a href="/view/chapters?id=191" target="_blank"><span style="color: #0066cc;">my javascript notebook</span></a>[3] or look through <span style="text-decoration: underline;">my javascript interview</span> <a href="/view/steps?id=136" target="_blank"><span style="color: #0066cc;">questions and answers</span></a> [4] to get a feel for my understanding of language.</p> <p>I have worked extensively with jQuery( have a notebook on that too) and many other popular libraries and frameworks. I am also experienced with and understand JSON, HTML 5, 4, even 3 and all versions of CSS.</p> <p><strong>> API's</strong></p> <p>I have built solutions with a number of third party API providers, including google maps, youtube videos, paypal, indeed and more.</p> <p><strong>> Versed in the fundamentals of Object Oriented Programming(00P)</strong></p> <p>Experience with the design of fully OO applications. A good understanding of the principles of OOP and the ability to implement OO solutions.</p> <p><strong>> Strong hands-on understanding of MVC and other modern Design Patterns</strong></p> <p>I wrote this blog post attempting to <a href="/view/article?id=4597" target="_blank">explain the MVC design pattern</a>[5], starting with a basic layman's description and then exploring the patterns inner workings in more depth, I think the article represents my understanding of the pattern fairly accurately.</p> <p><strong>> I have Solid problem-solving and coding skills; I am able to diagnose and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues quickly and effectively</strong></p> <p>If your going to write code, your going to have <span style="text-decoration: underline;">problems to resolve </span>:( The quicker you can <span style="text-decoration: underline;">solve your problems</span>(bugs), the quicker you can start writing new <span style="text-decoration: underline;">features</span> :)</p> <p>Prior to starting my own company, I worked for several years with the "premium" phone support team for a major PC OEM. This division supported essentially "everything" from the company's own hardware, to software to malware to third party hw/sw/mw.
