<h1 style="text-align: center;">why this is NASCAR's Golden Age</h1> <p> </p> <h2>1] attendance is down</h2> <p>- some of the best news yet - </p> <h2>2] the internet </h2> <p>- a "proliferation" of coverage</p> <h2>3] the TV broadcast </h2> <p>- this is a double edged sword if there ever was one, because there is plenty of good and plenty of bad about the TV broadcast, BUT lets remember where we came from, not so long ago ... when there was no television broadcast of the races. </p> <p>- today we have full schedule coverage of all the races,</p> <p>- And today it seems like "everyone" is complaining about the @AllWalltrip & company show that FOX sports puts on. While they may not be your favorite broadcast crew, keep in mind that no matter who is in the booth, some are going to love em and some are going to hate em </p> <p>- commercials - </p> <p>- HD, big screen, incar cameras, gyro cams, suspension cams, cc racebuddy </p> <p>- auxillary programming (racehub, speed, raceday, )</p> <p> </p> <h2>4] the drivers </h2> <p>- jj 5x,</p> <p>jg 4x,</p> <p>3x, ts</p> <p>past champions</p> <p>kes, kenseth, labonte</p> <p>- martin - </p> <p>- and looming on the horizon -</p> <p>larson, dillon * 2, ryan blaney, chase elliot </p> <h2>6] the tracks </h2> <p>- we all complain about the generic "cookie cutter" facilites that dominate the nascar schedule, </p> <p>- these tracks were built with the best of intentions, </p> <p>- following the model of the day which was CMS</p> <p>- i am going to assume that these facilities have the infrastructure (parking, washrooms, concessions) to facilate the needs of a crowd of 100K+ </p> <p> </p> <h2>5] the cars </h2> <p>- safer</p> <p>- faster</p> <p>- sexier </p> <p>- more competitive </p> <p> </p> <h2>8] the racing </h2> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
