<h2>[WHAT]</h2>
<ol>
<li>]&nbsp;I am finding myself using the new <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><a href="article?id=1050#content" target="_blank">ie 10 browser APP</a></span> version&nbsp;more and more, i like it BUT there are a few things that i find annoying. Some were easily resolved using some of the TIPS i have listed below.</li>

<h2>[WHY]</h2>
<ol>
<li>] the basics - a quick refresher, as i mentioned in my <a href="article?id=549#content" target="_blank">windows 8 overview</a>&nbsp;- windows 8 has 2 somewhat different versions of the ie10 browser. the ie 10 APP version and the ie 10 PROGRAM version.&nbsp;</li>
</ol>
<h2>[WHERE]</h2>
<ol>
<li>]&nbsp;These are some tips for working with the APP version of ie10&nbsp;that i found to be helpful.</li>
</ol>
<h2>[WHEN]&nbsp;</h2>
<ol>
<li><strong>] from the start&nbsp;screen -&nbsp;click the ie10 app tile to launch the browser</strong></li>
<ol>
<li><strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;">] TIP&nbsp;0 - you can also&nbsp;just type the letters "ie" and this will open the browser</span></strong></li>
</ol>
<li><strong>] right click the mouse anywhere in the page&nbsp;OR press the&nbsp;"context menu" key to bring up the ie10 APP menu options,&nbsp;</strong><strong>&nbsp;this displays the<span style="background-color: #00ff00;"> Tabs menu&nbsp;bar</span> at the top of the screen and the <span style="background-color: #00ff00;">Navigation menu bar</span> at the bottom of the screen</strong></li>

<li>] click the + icon in the top right corner to open a new tab</li>
<li>] the "more options" - can "close tabs"&nbsp;or open a&nbsp;new "in private" tab</li>
<li><strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;">*] TIP 1 you can press ctrl + T - to open a new tab</span></strong></li>
<li><strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;">*] TIP 2 you can press ctrl + shift + T - to open a new tab and goto that tab</span></strong></li>
</ol>
<li><strong>] loving it - the invisible forward and back&nbsp;arrows</strong></li>
<ol>
<li>]&nbsp;point your mouse to the middle of the left edge of the screen, or to the middle of the&nbsp;right&nbsp;edge of the screen, an arrow will appear,&nbsp;and you can&nbsp;<em><strong>go forward</strong></em> or <em><strong>go back</strong></em> to the web pages that you have previously visited in that tab</li>
<li><strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;">*] TIP 3&nbsp;you can also use alt + left arrow OR alt + right arrow</span></strong></li>

<li><strong>] favorites (aka bookmarks)&nbsp;</strong></li>

<li>] i have a lot of favorites (1000+) so scrolling horizontally through a list of them just doesnt cut it, but i see that if you ...</li>
<li><strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;">*]&nbsp;TIP&nbsp;4 - click the url bar and just type the name of the site or url that you want</span></strong> ( it doesnt have to be the exact name or the exact url, the browser will use the search functionality to display a listing of&nbsp;the&nbsp;closest suggestions&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>] favorites (aka bookmarks) -&nbsp;browsing bookmarks</strong></li>
<ol>
<li>] sometime i just need to BROWSE the categories of bookmarks that i have, to find what i am looking for ... unfortunately i cant do this is in the APP version&nbsp;:(</li>
<li>] to open your current page in the ie 10 PROGRAM version</li>
<li><strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;">] TIP&nbsp;5 - right click anywhere on page to bring up the menu bars, on the bottom menu bar, click on the page&nbsp;tools icon(the wrench) and choose the "view in desktop"</span></strong> option</li>
<li><strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;">*]&nbsp;TIP&nbsp;?&nbsp;(key&nbsp;+ key) takes you directly to the ie 10 PROGRAM versions</span></strong>, where i can view/browse and organize my "favorites" as i did in the previous version of ie, you can also&nbsp;get there by bringing up&nbsp;the Navigation Menu (right click), then clicking on&nbsp;the Page tools icon(wrench) and then selecting the "view on desktop option"</li>

<li><strong>] annoyance - i cant re-arrange my tabs</strong></li>
<ol>
<li>] i tend to get multiple tabs open throught the day, i like to keep them organized, (EX work tab, work tab, work tab, personal tab, personal tab). in most browsers it's easy to re-arrange your tabs (by drag and drop)&nbsp;but i dont see a way to do this in ie 10 app version.&nbsp;Am i missing it or ??? :(&nbsp;</li>
<li><strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;">] TIP&nbsp;7 ( ctrl + tab) move FORWARD&nbsp;between open tabs</span></strong></li>

<li><strong>] annoyance - no recent history list</strong></li>

<li>Take answers.microsoft.com for example. Let's say I'm browsing the list of questions that people have, say I'm a couple of pages into the category. I click on a question and post a responce. The site forwards me to another page with my responce added. I now want to go back to where I was in the list of questions. I could click back, and go back to the question and then click back again to get to the list. Or, like what I do in everyother browser, I go back two pages in my history at once.</li>

<li>]<span style="text-decoration: line-through;"><strong> annoyance - when i&nbsp;click "Open link in&nbsp;new tab",</strong> the browser returns to the page&nbsp;I was on(sometimes this is what i want), but sometimes i want to open the page and go there immediatley, i then i need to right click and navigate to the new tab i wanted to go to ..</span></li>

<li><span style="text-decoration: line-through;">]<strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00;"> TIP&nbsp;7 - press ctrl + shift and then click "open link in new tab"</span></strong> - this will open the&nbsp;tab and&nbsp;take&nbsp;you&nbsp;directly&nbsp;to that page.&nbsp;Just clicking the "open&nbsp;link ..." option will&nbsp;open the page but you will remain on your current page.&nbsp;&nbsp;</span></li>
