<p><br />- Great article Bob, <br /><br />- BB's new Passport is definitely generating some buzzz in the smartphone marketplace, despite the "this thing is *weird/square/a blackberry*" mantra espoused from many of the mainstream tech sites (im looking at you theVerge, ...) in the U S of A that still cover Blackberry<br /><br />- I don't think the quick sell out of the first run of 200K units has cupertino Tim losing any sleep just yet, but its nice to see the company take another step forward on the balance sheet.<br /><br />- One bone of contention with your article&nbsp;&nbsp; <br /><br />"BlackBerry needs to kill its BB World and Amazon stores as they exist and strike a deal with Google."<br /><br />- "BB world" has native "bb 10 apps" that can take advantage of the unique BB 10 platform features (ex integration with the hub, active frames, true mult tasking, more @ http://sospep.com/view/article?id=796 ) <br /><br />- Amazon is an "Android app store that contains apps that work without Google Play services, <br /><br />- Would it be better to have the Google Play android app store and support for GP services instead of the amazon app store? <br /><br />That's a <span style="text-decoration: underline;">tough question</span>, the short answer is, MAYBE, BUT either way we don't want to lose native BB apps that can take advantage of the features that make the BB 10 OS unique<br /><br />If your buying a blackberry phone solely for its ability to run android apps, you should probably just buy an android phone.<br /><br />It's also important to note that MANY of google's MOST POPULAR services ( search, gmail, calendar) WORK just FINE on Blackberry 10 devices today without the need for any Blackberry affiliation with google. <br /><br /></p>
