<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">In this issue we take a QUICK TOUR of the sospep - places application component by exploring one of sospep-MAPS that I have created named "my-BC". I like to share this MAP with my friends and family who are visiting (or planning to) to enable them to choose the locations that are of most interest to them ... and to also encourage them to ... SHARE/ADD/EDIT ... their thoughts/ideas/opinons and even their "locations" to make the my_BC map even better.</p>

<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">sospep - places is of one of the core component applications in the <a href="http://sospep.com/view/article?id=416#tabs-2" target="_blank">[sospep PIM suite]</a> Places is a locations management tool that enables you to collect and manage "your atlases" of "your locations" and then leverage that data across all of your sospep applications</p>
<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">The primary goals of sospep PLACES are two - fold. To make it incredibly easy to ...1] use ATLASES/MAP/SECTORS to gather,organize and structure your LOCATIONS in a manner that is most effective for you.2] to SHARE those ATLASES/MAPS/SECTORS with whom you desire in the format(EMAIL, WEB PAGE, SMS, social, PRINT ) that best meets your needs and ...</p>
<p>Let's get started by clicking the "PLACES" app icon on our home page, here you will find a collection of public ATLASES, click on the ATLAS named "Canada" and then click on the MAP of "BC". Here you will find a list of some of my favorite "locations" in the various SECTORS of my BC map.</p>

transform: lowercase;">so, what's this SECTOR, MAP and ATLAS stuff?</h2>
<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">A SECTOR is a named area of a Map. You use "sectors" to categorize/organize your Maps. MAPS are components of an ATLAS. You use Maps to categorize/organize your Atlases. ATLASES are the top level category for defining your places.</p>
<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">You can use pre-defined ATLASES that have already been created to quickly structure your LOCATIONS or you can define and create your own ATLASES in exactly the manner that is most logical to you.</p>

<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">Well, essentially yes. basically they are "categories" to organize your "locations". The places app is really about your "locations", which we will talk about in just a minute.</p>

<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">A SECTOR contains - YOUR LOCATIONS</p>
<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">The "view locations" toolbar offers many options to work with multiple locations in one operation ...</p>
<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">By choosing to make these particular LOCATIONS publicly available, I can share them with everyone. By default your sospep PLACES data (just like all of "your sospep data") is "private" to you only! You can choose to make the PLACES (and other sospep data) public, <strong>if you choose to do so.</strong> You can even configure your sospep to share just "specific PLACES" with just the "specific PEOPLE" that you choose (for example, just "your friends" or just "your family")</p>
<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">Another HANDY feature about any of the existing public PLACES is that you can quickly and easily ADD public ATLASES/MAPS/SECTORS or even just specific LOCATIONS to your own ATLASES in just a few clicks ... enabling you to modify/customize or organize them in a manner that best suits your requirements.</p>

<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">Each LOCATION has a name, a brief description, a street address, contact details(like Location ph #, email) status and photo and content fields.</p>
<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">you can use the CONTENT field for each LOCATION to provide additional DESCRIPTION details, notes, include links to the locations official website or other URL's(like reviews websites,etc), additonal photos,diagrams, illustrations or whatever story that you want to tell about this particular LOCATION or nothing at all</p>

Arm them with maps, notes, tips, etc on any of the locations you have in your address book.</p>

<p>Well of course you can "google that" location and you will come up with "some" of the details that are in the location record and another few million links, [ this article ] explains the BENEFITS of creating that location as a sospep places location VERSUS just googling it</p>
<p style="line-height: 1.5em; font-size: 11px; margin-bottom: 1em;">so, is this "sospep" some kind of travel/tourism website, nope, not at all, these are just some of my "locations" from "my" sospep PLACES collection that I chose to make publicly available for some of the reasons outlined previously.</p>

<p>Another one of the reasons I have for making them public is my hope that 1 day - you, your spouse, your children or maybe even your visiting guests may know of ANOTHER COOL [chilliwack] location (like this <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5684329/how-to-see-new-yorks-secret-city-hall-subway-stop" target="_blank">neat new location</a>that "I" just discovered and added to my [NYC] locations list)</p>
<p>Hopefully you will then add that HIDDEN GEM of a location to the public locations book and I too can discover and experience it as well. <br />... or perhaps even just add a ] tip, ] suggestion or some other ] pertinent detail to one of the existing locations.</p>
