<li>] by Don Sagrott founder@sospep.com - this is a SUMMARY of some of the reasons why we are proceeding with the latest version of bootstrap 4 alpha VERSUS using the existing tried and true, aka stable version - bootstrap 3</li>

<h2>[WHY]</h2>

<li>] BOOTSTRAP 4 - cards look better, have more functionality then the panels/wells that they replace</li>
<li>] BOOTSTRAP 4 - has 5 device layouts by default VS 4 for bootstrap 3</li>
<li>] BOOTSTRAP 4 - has support for flexbox&nbsp;</li>
<li>] FUTURE PROOF - by starting with the latest revision of the framework we can avoid the looming version of a possibly a major re write</li>
<li>] APP DEV STATUS - because we dont have a lot of bootstrap dev completed allready, there is minimal amount of our pages that will have to rewritten at this point ( &lt; 10 )</li>
<li>] LIGHTER - approx 90 KB vs 120 KB</li>
<li>] BOOTSTRAP 3 - development has been frozen, only fixes now</li>
<li>] BOOTSTRAP 4 - DEFAULTS - ] em replace .px as default measurement, use em scaling for sizing, ] SASS replaces LESS as the CSS language, ]&nbsp;</li>
<li>] BOOTSTRAP 4 - new utlitity classes for spacing and alignment</li>
<li>] BOOTSTRAP ++ - ] we have dev experience with bs, ] lot of other bs devs, out there too, ] community, forums, ..., ] lots of bs themes, ]&nbsp;</li>

<h2>[WHY-NOT]</h2>
<ol>
<li>] REWRITES ARE COMING - because this is an alpha version - things will change, we will have to re write some code, this will likely cause some headaches&nbsp;</li>
<li>] MAYBE ISSUES TOO - breaking changes to the build prior to official release could result in bad behaviour from anywhere in our app that uses the framework, this could result in issues we need to trackdown</li>
