<li>] the restore command compiles your application code and the resources that your application uses, into the applications working directory,&nbsp;</li>

<li>] watch will monitor our code for changes, if any are detected it will then automatically do &nbsp;a dotnet restore to build the application</li>

<li>] dependancy VS tool - a dependancy is a library that your application uses at runtime, a tool is an dependancy/application that your application is going to use at compile time</li>
<li>] google dotnet watch, first result takes you to the github page for the tool</li>
<li>] copy .json values for setup from install instructions, paste into the tools section of your apps project.json file</li>
<li>] IF no tools section exist, create one&nbsp;</li>
<li>] dotnet watch is a wrapper for any other command that you can call</li>
<li>] &gt; dotnet watch run&nbsp;</li>
<li>] now if you were to change the Program.cs file, watch detects the change on file save, shuts down the app, rebuilds it and restarts it.&nbsp;</li>
<li>] all you need to do is hit F5 to refresh your browser and the changes you made should be reflected</li>
