<li>]&nbsp;the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enbridge_Northern_Gateway_Pipelines" target="_blank">Northern Gateway pipeline</a>&nbsp;(NG) is a proposed pipeline to be built by Canadian company Enbridge that the will carry diluted bitumen from the alberta tarsands oil&nbsp;development in northern alberta across the canadian rockies to a port&nbsp;near kitimat in northern BC. The dilbit will then be loaded into super oil tankers and shipped to China.&nbsp;</li>
<li>]&nbsp;the question asked in the globe and mail article was are you for or against the northern gateway pipeline?</li>

<li>&gt; I am working my own "RISKS vs REWARDS ANALYSIS" ( sospep.com/view/article?id=## ) and I am coming to the conclusion that the risks definetly outweigh the rewards for me as resident of the province of BC. Maybe i've got it all wrong or missed something substantial and if i have, please feel free to update my analysis.&nbsp;</li>
<li>&gt; Lets remove the political rhetoric( 3 jobs for every man,woman and child, royalty cheques&nbsp;raining from the sky and streams flowing with diluted bitumen) from the conversation and take a&nbsp; closer look a the cold hard facts, of how many jobs, where, when, for how long, how much royalty, etc ... tally the NET economic benefits and then weigh that against the potential economic risks that we are taking to generate these dollars.</li>
<li>&gt; We may also want to consider that collectivly as a nation, we may want to conserve and preserve a valuable finite natural resource for our own long term usage, rather than to sell it off as quickly as possible to the highest bidder at the time.</li>
