<li>] windows 8 introduces "apps" - in previous versions of windows we used/ran PROGRAMS to "do stuff". DONT WORRY in windows 8 we can still RUN PROGRAMS, and likely&nbsp;even most all the SAME PROGRAMS&nbsp;that we&nbsp;ran in our previous version&nbsp;of windows.&nbsp;So what are&nbsp;these APPS, there are a few key differences and knowing what they are may help you to better understand and</li>

<li>APPS come from the WINDOWS STORE</li>
<li>APPS are FULL SCREEN with no visible windows start button/menu and task bar showing</li>
<li>PROGRAMS run in a WINDOW and have a visible windows&nbsp;task bar showing</li>

<li>APPS run in the modern environment.</li>
