A native app, is an APP that is already pre-installed with the os and in most cases is developed and maintained by the OS mfg.(Microsoft)&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>] <a href="http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-8/mail-app-tutorial" target="_blank">Mail</a> -</strong> With the Mail app, you can have all your email&mdash;from Outlook.com, Gmail, Yahoo!, and other accounts&mdash;in one single app. So there's no need to go to different websites or apps for your email. And there are no ads, so you get to focus on what&rsquo;s important to you.</li>
<li><strong>] <a href="http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-8/people-app-faq" target="_blank">People</a></strong> - The People app is your address book and your social app all in one. You can add your contacts, see updates on social networks (like Facebook and Twitter), and keep in touch with friends and family on Skype&mdash;all from a single app.</li>
<li><strong>] <a href="http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-8/calendar-app-faq" target="_blank">Calendar</a></strong> - With the Calendar app, you can see several calendars&mdash;including your work calendars&mdash;all at the same time, all in one place. To use Calendar, you'll need to sign in to your PC or the app with a Microsoft account. When you open Calendar, you'll see all events from your Microsoft account. To see events from other calendars, add the accounts to the Calendar app.</li>

<li><strong>] <a href="http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-8/skype-video-call" target="_blank">Skype</a></strong> - With Skype-to-Skype audio and video calls and chat, you can stay in touch with anyone, on almost any device, pretty much anywhere in the world, for free. Using Skype side-by-side with two or more apps is a great way to stay in touch while browsing the web, listening to music, or playing a game.</li>
<li><strong>] <a href="http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-8/getting-started-onedrive-tutorial" target="_blank">OneDrive</a></strong> - <span class="phrase">OneDrive</span> is free online storage that comes with your Microsoft account. It&rsquo;s like an extra hard drive that&rsquo;s available from any of the devices you use. You no longer need to email files to yourself or carry around (and possibly lose) a USB flash drive. Instead, whether you&rsquo;re on your laptop and working on a presentation, viewing photos from your last family vacation on your new tablet, or on your phone reviewing your shopping list, you can get to your files in <span class="phrase">OneDrive</span>.</li>
<li><strong>] <a href="http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows-8/browse-web-internet-explorer-tutorial" target="_blank">internet explorer(ie) 11</a></strong> (modern) - Internet&nbsp;Explorer makes it easier to get where you want to go on the web, and helps you see amazing content at its best. By learning some common gestures and tricks, you&rsquo;ll be able to comfortably use your new browser and get the most out of your favorite sites. REMEMBER windows 8 has 2 <em>slightly different versions</em> of the IE browser that look and work slightly differently, one versio for the modern (touch first) experience and one version for the tradittional desktop environment.</li>
