The team (including nascar drivers marcus ambrose and aj almendinger) kept its 3rd place finishing position but lost points, the prize money(35k) and was fined(15k). Pete Pistone (mrn) wrote an article disagreeing with the fact that they kept there 3rd place finishing status. The statement from Grand Am(owned by NASCAR) in regard to the specific infraction was rather vague simply stating that
