1.  personally I think the authors logic is a little flawed on some of his points ...
2. Danica + Ricky  
1. ] publicity that money cant buy, media coverage that money cant buy, OK well money could probably buy it, but it would cost a whole lot and isnt it just better to be getting it for FREE ?? I think Danica+Ricky both made it onto the France family's xmas card list AND all the NASCAR track owners, all 3 of them ;)
3. SHOULD it be the big story? 
1. ] NO absolutely not, but it is the fluff that catches the eye of the mainstream masses and focuses the glare of the mainstream spotlight on NASCAR for a few 2013 milli seconds, I would wager that the Daytona 500 TV numbers will be UP partly because of this story. Will they still be talking about Danica+Ricky, or Danica or Ricky come the Daytona 400 in July ? 
4. the NEW "GEN 6" cars = 
1. ] the most talked about changes to the NAS CAR since ??? (COT), NO there not "exactly" like their street counterparts, NOR are they perhaps a more enthusiast appeal oriented model like a vette, camaro, viper or shelby BUT those cars are not what the sport was built upon, it was built upon the every day, every mans/woman ford / chevy / dodge (+ toyota) family car that you drove. This car looks like a BIG positive step forward in that direction, if it races like some of the drivers are suggesting that it will race like - big WIN 
5. no personality's = i guess i just dont understand why anyone would say that there is NO PERSONALITY here, i would almost go so far as to say that there are so many personlities that we could group them into ...
1. personality types, starting with the - GQ CLUB
1. ] Johnson - the clean cut, politically correct, always composed, always on script,
2. ] Gordon - 
2. VERSUS - the good ole boy's CLUB 
1. ] Keselowski - the brash, opinionated, outspoken, rough around the edges,
2. ] Bowyer - 
3. ] Stewart - 
3. now ADD in a girl, a hot girl none the less

4. AND then throw in a couple of hot headed rowdy brother's

heres the real problem with NASCAR today ... well as far as I can see it anyways 

1. TV coverage
1. ] commercials 
1. ] too many, too often, at the wrong time 
2. ] commentators 
1. ] 
2. cookie cutter tracks
