sospep will be introducing some new features with upcoming version. 1 of those new features is our "goal tracking" system. This system will enable you to automatically monitor the progress that you are making towards the acheivement of your goals, to determine the status of any one of your goals at any given time and to associate any given goal with all of the related information that you need in order to acheive said goal. This article explains and demonstrates how you can use our goal tracking system to help you acheieve your goals, whatever they may be. You can sign up for free to be amongst the first to beta test this new feature.
] We all have goals, you don't need a software program or service to create a list of those goals. you could simply write them down on a piece of paper if you wanted too.
Pin that paper to the wall beside the bathroom mirror or stick it on the fridge or keep it in whatever <insert location> that works for you. You can now look at it <daily> to remind yourself of what those goals are.
] Where software comes in very handy is when we start Tracking Your goals, or perhaps, more importantly the progress you have made (or not) towards the "achievement" of said goals.
] We may also want to associate/track all of the information that is related to acheiving those goals. (whatever that "goal" may be) ] This is where things can get a little bit more difficult and having just a peice of paper, even a stack of papers, is going to be far less effective.
] This is also where sospep can help you out, allow me to explain how I do it and let me show you a very simple example.
+*] keep in mind that while this is a very simple example, if you have a "goal" like ] read a book or ] try a new wine, yAGNI, just call them what they are, "tasks" aka to-do's or projects/plans. ( You can know that you can use sospep to track your tasks as well right? )
] However if your goal is more ambitious ... and as stated in our theory of goals (-v-001 *WIP) - we do believe that you should have "ambitious goals",
] Once you have your sospep account created. It's very easy to create a "goal". A "goal" is just a "task" that we are going to "track".
] Track your goal by adding a new task and then setting that tasks priority level to -8. Thats it! ( I told you it was simple)
] If you like, you can create multiple goals.
] To view all of the goals that you have created, just click __this__. From this page you can PRINT, SHARE,SEND your "goals list" to anyone, anywhere OR you can keep it private (which is the default setting) and no one but you will have access to it.
] for our EXAMPLE - GOAL# - 001 - "update our twitter feed more often"
] the title says it all, almost. What are all of the steps that we will need to take in order to accomplish that.
] define: on a <regular basis> we are going to/we can <review> the <progress> that we have made towards achieving our goals.
] for our EXAMPLE - GOAL# - 001 - "update our twitter feed more often"
] Lets <review> <1x> <per month.> We will do this by ] counting # tweets in <period>, ] measuring tweet frequency < period>, ] comparing <results> VS <results.prev>,
] For most goals, you will have <some number> of tasks, books/articles/notes, communications, etc that are related to acheiving that goal. By associating related information with our goal, we not only make it easier to manage that information, we make it easier to monitor detailed progress and status reporting towards the acheivement of our goal.
] for our EXAMPLE - GOAL# - 001 - "update our twitter feed more often"
- we are going to start with associating a list of tasks. To Keep things simple these tasks will be the only information associated with this particular goal.
Obviously any "ambitious goal" is likely to have a lot of dynamic and fluid information associated with it, and this one of the areas where we feel that sospep excels at, so we will delve into this in a future article.
- the tasks will be to ] CREATE-tweet (content), ] tweet-tweet (time), ] repeat (frequency)

] define: workflow goal-to-achievement - the generic series of procedures that you will follow from start to finish in order to complete(acheive) your goal(s)
] see our goals algorithm illustration - for a visual representation of these are generic steps in the non linear sequence that you would execute them in
] for our EXAMPLE - GOAL# - 001 - "update our twitter feed more often"
] in order to acheive most goals, your going to need a plan.
] for our EXAMPLE - GOAL# - 001 - "update our twitter feed more often"
] we know how much we tweeted (quantity) in the (previous period).
] So we should PLAN to tweet (> quantity) times in the next period.
] We know how often that we tweeted (frequency) in the (previous period)
] So we should PLAN to tweet more frequently in the (next period)
we want to increase our tweet frequency (how often we tweet)
]
] Now that you have your plan in place, its time to start executing. Execution is the stage in our workflow, where we take the things that we have "planned to do" in order to "ahieve" our goal and we actually do them.
] for our EXAMPLE - GOAL# - 001 - "update our twitter feed more often"
] if we were to execute the very simple procedure that we mentioned in the ALL OF THE related INFORMATION paragraph above, on a monthly basis, we would acheive our goal
] how far have you gone towards acheiving your goal?
] how far do you have to go yet?
] how do you feel about that?
] for our EXAMPLE - GOAL# - 001 - "update our twitter feed more often"
]
] When you have reached your goal, it is now an Achievement.
] You can view your acheivements in your Bio.
