[WHY - PROS]

  1. -- extra usb port on power brick
  2. -- doesnt feel cheap (build quality, general hardware)
  3. -- screen incredibly responsive
  4. -- apps were responsive
  5. -- some apps were ...
  6. -- cameras were clean, didnt expect more, not super hq cameras
  7. -- windows button, feedback
  8. -- cut the rope, non-test
  9. -- appreciated sytlus , various levels of sensiitvy

I don't think i would agree thats its "disingenuous" to make the keyboard optional on a tablet.

I would agree that the surface is a bit on the pricy side(both models) - but keeping in mind that the PRO is the first and only device in its class, they can pretty much dictate what the price will be.

Ultimately the market will decide if it's worth it.

] Surface RT has only been on the market for 3 months. I am not aware that msft has released any actual sales #'s. Rumours are that its below "projections" and analysts are predicting/estimating around 1 M units on expectations of 2m units. Compare that to ipad sale numbers in the same quarter and its an abysmal failure!. Compare it to how many tablets msft sold in the quarter before(0) and (1 million units @ $500 each) looks pretty darn good.
