on writing

[WHAT]

  1. i can't write, i dont have any desire to write
    1. i accept that 
  2. i need to write, mostly for work, mostly boring dull technical type stuff, /documentation, /plans, /reporting, type "writing" 
    1. but not a novel, a decent essay or even an interesting blog post will likely ever be tapped out on this keyboard 
  3. so heres my advice to you, 
    1. stop thinking about it and just do it !!!!!!!!!
  4. how to 
    1. write
    2. publish
    3. * iterate
    4. repeat  
  5. * the asterik beside #3 is because its entirely optional
    1. ] # 4 is mandatory,  
  6. chances are, it's NOT going to be great, 
    1. ] i know suspect that you want it to be great or good or good enough or ?????? That's likely part of whats holding you back, it doesnt measure up to your standards
  7. thats OK
    1. but i'm guessing/suspecting that it just doesnt work that way,(greatness/perfection on your first try) especially if your just coming out of the gate (new, getting started) 
  8. it/you will get better
    1. ] practice makes perfect - 
  9. the article that you found and mentioned above is a great find, i found it "motivational"
    1. ] TIP - i know you bookmarked it but print it out, put it beside your PC, somewhere your going to see it, be constantly reminded
  10. heres  a video - that i also found compelling / motivational 
    1. ] if you click on the chapter link at the top of the page there are other motivational type articles listed if your interested
  11. finally, on barriers
    1. ] someone mentioned - i don't want/hesitant to create a twitter account - OMGG what lengths our minds will go to aid and abet our own self sabotage, 
  12. and ideas 
    1. ] write about what your passionate about 
  13. OK im done with my unsolicitated advice giving/rant now
