      3. ] Three of the four Hendricks cars were running UP FRONT all afternoon with Gordon and Johnson both sucumbing to tire failures that led to crashes. Gordon felt bad about taking out Matt Kenseth who was also strong up to that point in the race.
    2. Kyle Busch - finishes 2nd, still NOT happy,
      1. ] one of the favorites to win at Bristol, funny how he appears somewhat po'd after finishing 2nd.
    3. Brad Keselowski
      1. ] strong run all day long and one of the best in the FORD camp. Brad's post race report
    4. x] Kurt Busch @ Furniture Row Motorsports
      1. x] Tom Jensen @fox /speed tv writes on the impressive run, finished the day in 4th spot and moved up to 16th in points (from 29th). Strong all day, Kurt was often found running the bottom groove of the track while most ran up in the higher groove. Pitting for a loose wheel  had him down 2 laps at 1 point in the race but he battled back and was one of the strongest cars at the end of the day. The top 5 finish was only the 4th in the 205 cup race history of the Denver, CO based single car team
    5. Clint Bowyer -
      1. ] best of the MWR efforts today, teamates Vickers and Truex Jr both

    7. Ryan Newman
      1. ] Was the best in the SHR camp today and wound up with a much needed top 10 finish. SHR teamate Danica Patrick was well back in 28th postion x laps off the pace. She did finish the event. An early tire problem ended up with Tony Stewart spinning into the wall and then having to be behind the wall repairing a damaged brake line and putting him out of contention for the day. He came back on track and battled to a 31st place finish.
    8. Brian Vickers
      1. ] First CUP race of the year for Vickers and a solid performance.Do you remember last year where Brian started 8 races and had 5 top 10 finishes. Keep an eye on this guy.
    9. Paul Menard -
      1. ] Another good run for Paul securing his second Top 10 of the early season and making him the best of the RCR cars today and holder of 50% of the teams top 10s. Paul was in approx. the same position last season at this time and after a poor result at California, slowly slid back out of the top 10 and chase contention

    2. ] The race averaged a 4.3/10 in the overnight ratings. That's up +8% over last year's 4.0/10 for the same race.
    3. ] So far this year, 3/4 races on FOX have posted a year-to-year increase. While yesterday's race was edged out by the NCAA SELECTION show on CBS (4.4/10) as the most watched sporting event, final projections may still place the race as the top event. In 4 races this season NASCAR ratings are up 13%.
    4. ] UPDATE a 4.6 final rating and 7.5 million viewers, up 5% in ratings and 3% in viewership from last year (4.4, 7.3M), and up 7% and 4%, respectively, from 2011 (4.3, 7.2M). This marks the highest rated and most-viewed edition of the spring Bristol race since 2008 (5.5, 8.9M). Sunday's race was also the first since 2008 to avoid competition with the NCAA Tournament. Though up from last year, the 4.6 rating ranks as the fifth-lowest for the race since 2000 (13 telecasts). The race earned at least a 5.0 rating each year from 2001 to 2008, peaking with a 6.3 in 2005. The Bristol race also ranks as the first Sprint Cup telecast since the Daytona 500 to have an increase in ratings.
