    2. lets begin by taking a look at some of our 'plans' that we have created for 'today', a typical workday
  2. - view calendars -> when we start the events app, we are shown a list of all the calenders that we have created, in this example 1 have created a calendar for myself and a seperate calendar for each of several projects which i am working on. I can view these calendars and the tasks on them, individually or collectively 
  3. - view/plans -> as i look into the 'me' calendar that i have created to schedule my personal tasks, you can see that it is broken down into 2 seperate areas, planning for events that i have upcoming and documenting where i can track events that i have already completed 
  4. - view/taskgroups in the planning section,  you can see that I have created 4 different taskgroups based on the timeframe of when i want to see my individual tasks completed, 
  5. - view /tasks -> as I open up the 'today' taskgroup, you can see i have created a number of tasks that i want to complete today

    1. ] Events is our 'time management' app. Events provides a wide range of features for planning, scheduling, organizing and documenting your time. 
    2. ] At the heart/core of sospep events is the "task" or what some may refer to as the "to do"

    1. ] sospep events is that everything is a "task".
    2. ] while many task AND calendaring apps seperate TASKS from EVENTS ours does not.
    3. ] Tasks are not seperate entities that you manage in another application or sidebar, Tasks are first class citizens and are one of the building blocks for all TIME management functionality.
    4. ( ] Once a TASK is created, you can drag it onto a calendar OR agenda view to schedule it, you can drag it to another date and or timeslot to reschedule it etc,)

    2. ] While ease of use and simplicity are 2 of the key design goals don't think that this will limit the power and functionalty of application
    3. ] sospep events can scale from managing a single user's, single item task list to managing multiple projects collaboratively across multiple users

    1. ] i have logged into my sospep
    2. ] i am using "a shortcut" that I have created in my browser favorites to navigate directly to my todo/task list
    3. ] the default 'LIST VIEW' of tasks that is displayed shows the title of each task that you have created, along with a breif description of the task, the scheduled start date and time and the estimated duration of the task.
    4. ] NOTICE at the top of the page in our navigation header/titlebar you can see the total# of tasks in this taskgroup as well as the number and percentage of completed tasks in this group (aka your progress)
    5. ] taskdetail view - shows all the details of any task, It also provides a CONTENT PANEL that you can use to enter extend details related to the task
  5. ] create a task
    1. ] starting at the main menu, lets choose the CREATE option and look for events
    2. ] use the ADD task icon to create a new task
    3. ] in the form, simply give your task a name
    4. ] OPTIONALLY you can provide a breif description
    5. ] you can schedule a date and time for the task()
    6. ] you can set a priority
    7. ] click the "Insert" button at the bottom of the form to add your new task
    8. ] as we return to the list view of tasks, you now see the task that you just created
