The internet isn't useful either then because most web pages are junk or not relevant to me. So I might as well disconnect my FIOS?
The advantage of buying an android or iPhone/iPad today is that if I see an app next week that I like, I can just download it.

No need to go on a forum hunting for a third party reverse-engineered version.No need to write letters to the company begging for an iOS version. No need to rationalize my inability to have that app by convincing myself apps are useless or apps are for kids/girls/hipsters.

I can just tap install. For most people, that is much easier.
