] *NEW PROJECT - Hunting Unicorns - A learning exersize in Angel Investing*
] Think of this as a learning exersize for aspiring angel investors,
I am working on putting together a "portfolio of startup companies" that I want to invest in. Like everyone else I want to get in on "the next Uber", before it becomes "the next Uber".
Of course, I probably have little to no clue as to who that company will be,
] so I am "looking to the experts" for some guidance.
] Some of the tech industries Venture Capitalists(VC's) have gone on the record and are "predicting" what they believe to be "the next big trends" in the startup world in the year(s) ahead.
] That's got to be worth a look right?
] Todays predictions are from Steve Sinofsky, a board partner @Andreesen Horowitz. Sinfosky was previously the president of the windows division at msft

] We've got a couple more VC predictions on record to go through. The plan is to then compile "a big list" of all their predictions collectively and use it to identify the common themes that we are seeing. To identify the consensus among the experts ;)

] I began by gathering a collection of Venture Capitalists(VCs) predictions for the year ahead(2015). The idea was to take a comprehensive look at what many of the industry experts feelings were on where the tech startup market was heading in the coming year(s) ahead and to then see what/if any kind of consensus emerged or not. The plan is to be able to identify some of hot startup sectors and then dive deeper into those sectors to find some of the best companies within them.
] After I finished the initial compilaton of VC predictions, of course, the next thing i did was discovered an additional handful of great predictions articles from some more industry notables.
] Steven Sinofsky is currently a board partner at Andreesen Horowitz, he was previously a major player at microsoft for many years, having leadership roles in both the office and windows divisions. He wrote a fairly comprensive peice on recode.net back in December with his thoughts ...
