] the BB passport is an example of an innovative product, it has sold well (beyond their own forecasts) and garnered many rave reviews, yet total sales will likely end up being maybe a good week of iphone sales, ASSUMING BB is making a profit on the device, is that a success or a failure? Did they take a risk releasing a device like that? I think so. AFAIK, BB hasn't failed, they still make and sell phones, just not as many of them!
