<li>] as many others have said, GOOD IDEA, @Amanda Blain, hopefully @Vic Gundotra, @Bradley Horowitz and 'the others' at the helm of the @google plus ship, take notice and think about making this an 'offical' 'annual awards/celebration' of the goodness that is g+. &nbsp;</li>
<li>] I don't really follow the other social networks so i can't say if its something unique &nbsp;but I think it is something interesting, engaging and could be win/win for the network &nbsp;and the users of the network&nbsp;</li>

<li>2] CATEGORIZATION - with any long list, i think categorization is essential, we could even call them 'circles' or 'subject/topic circles' instead of categories, here is a suggested list of common categories, ummm, errr 'circles', you many want to consider ...&nbsp;</li>

There are a lot of great suggestions here(this thread) of "interesting people" to &nbsp;follow, but someone who is posting fabulous content on "knitting" may not be of any interest 'to some' while someone who is posting great content on &nbsp;'technology' may not be of any interest to the 'knitting' contingent. &nbsp;</li>
<li>Categorization and ranking could make for a quick way and easy way to &nbsp;find the best 'plussers' in your personal field or fields of interest&nbsp;</li>

<li><strong>RANKING - STARS AND RISING STARS</strong>&nbsp;</li>

<li>I would suggest that this forum is much more valuable as a resource for&nbsp; discovering/sharing 'new g+ talent' as opposed to recognizing/celebrating the&nbsp;established *g+ stars If someone has &gt; x followers, chances are good that if you are interested in their&nbsp;'subject area' you 'may' already know/know of or follow them already. Within each proposed category, I would suggest a simple ranking/ordering 'subcategory' based&nbsp;upon a nominees follower count, for Example ...</li>

<li>*g+ stars* - &nbsp;&gt; following of &gt; 100k&nbsp;</li>
<li>*g+ rising stars* - following of &gt; 10k</li>
<li>*g+ up and coming* - with a following of &lt; 10k</li>

<li>This would make it easy to recognize both the pros who have built their g+ kingdoms and others who are still working on it&nbsp;</li>
