<li>[TLDR] Started working through <a href="https://docs.angularjs.org/tutorial" target="_blank">the tutorial</a> at the <a href="https://angularjs.org" target="_blank">official angularjs website</a>, here are the pre requisites</li>

<li>x] git - for source code management ( i&nbsp;already have a recent version of git installed )</li>
<li>x]&nbsp;nodejs - had an earlier version(0.06) of node installed, installed the current version of node (0.12.2)&nbsp;</li>

<li>] SUMMARY - after several hours of installing, troubleshooting install errors, I&nbsp;have the&nbsp;required tools/packages/components necessary&nbsp;to start working on the tutorial&nbsp;in a windows environment</li>

<li>x] TRY: run "npm install" command from app directory(phonecat-app)</li>
<li>x] RESOLUTION: you need to run&nbsp;"the command"&nbsp;from "the&nbsp;app" directory you are working with(just like the tutorial says), npm looks at the apps "package.json" file&nbsp;for 'dependencies' required by that specific app then installs them</li>

<li>x] ERROR:</li>
<li>x] CAUSE: dont think npm is/has been added&nbsp;to the path, have to use the fully qualified path to npm(c:\program files\nodejs\npm") to get it too execute npm to execute</li>
<li>x] TRY: manually ADDed "node" dir&nbsp;to my path statement</li>

<li>x] ERROR: npm installs the components required for testing(/bower, /http-server, /karma, ...) the tutorial app AND is then supposed to(run script that)&nbsp;that uses component /bower to install more components ( ie angular, jquery, ...) BUT this appears to fail</li>
<li>x] CAUSE: have FILE (npm-errors-001.txt) with ERROR details message&nbsp;from cl</li>

<li>x] ERROR:&nbsp;ran "npm start" - which should launch local "http server" for testing, this fails with message&nbsp;"bower enogit git is not installed or not in the path"</li>
<li>x] CAUSE: git is&nbsp;not in my&nbsp;path statement</li>
<li>x] TRY:&nbsp;ADDed git to path</li>
<li>x] RESOLUTION: above, SUCCESS - the local web server is up and running,</li>

<li>*] warning message from win firewall - SET to allow for local networks only</li>

<li>*] this script seemed to run the "npm install" script, which then ran the "bower install" script to install the app requirements(angularjs, jq, bootstrap,...) CONFIRMED by&nbsp;viewing dir /app/bower_components</li>
<li>] the server is running on the default port:8000, switch that to port:####</li>
<li>*] the phonecat-app DIR is now approx 60MB of which 52MB is npm packages</li>

<li>TRY: downloaded .zip file manually, "chromedriver_win32" is only driver download&nbsp;for win that i see on their site, manually extracted .zip content, only contains&nbsp;a single file (chromedriver.exe),</li>
