    1. ] Jimmie Johnson - WINS - takes the points lead, captures his 8th Martinsville victory, Johnson led 346 of 500 laps, the most he has ever led, Post Race Team Report, Driver Recap
    2. ] Clint Bowyer - 2nd place, 8th in standings, Clint was 1 of the drivers caught up in an early accident (LAP#180 - Caution 4)  and sustained fairly heavy damage ,Bowyer managed to race back and at the end of the race was in a position to race for the lead. Several restarts in the final laps saw Bowyer/Gordon and Johnson lining up nearly identically to the way they did in the 2012 race which ended with all 3 crashing out. Post Race Team Report 
    3. ] Jeff Gordon - 3rd place, 12th in standings, +6 spots - a good day for Gordon who needed a strong finish to move back into points contention.     4. ] Kasey Kahne - 4th place, 5th in standings, a solid day for Kahne continueing his fast start to the 2013 season. The top 5 finish was only his 3rd after 19 starts at the track.  Post Race Team Report 
    5. ] Kyle Busch - 5th place, 4th in standings - another strong finish from Kyle, fourth top-five of the year. lead for 56 laps - and beating Brad Keselowski to the start/finish line by .006 one thousands of a second to capture the top 5 Post Race Team Report

    1. ] Danica Patrick - 12th place, 26th in standings as a rookie this was her first race ever at Martinsville and expectations were not high. An early spin that brought out the first caution of the race looked like it could be the onset of a long day. As the race came to an end Danica was in a battle with Brian Vickers for positions which led to some late race contact that could have ended an otherwise impressive run. In the end, Patrick surprised everyone and exceeded all expectations not only finishing the race but capturing 12th position. Post Race - VIDEO Press Conference Driver Report

    1. ] Dale Earnhardt Jr - 24th place, 3rd in standings, down 2 - Earnhardt had his worst finish of the season at one of his best tracks(statistically). A late race incident say Vickers bump Patrick into Earnhardt causing Earnhardt to spin, as the leader(48) came around and went by Junior as he tried to get turned around, many in the Jr Nation felt Johnson should have stopped/slowed and allowed the 88 to get going instead of putting him another lap down.     1. ] This site has full stats for the TV broadcast on FOX, which indicated that 195 minutes of the total 243 minutes of the TV broadcast was RACE COVERAGE (80.24%) and the balance was COMMERCIALS(19.76%). (the first time this year that FOX has hit the 80% mark) 
    2. ] Overnight TV ratings averaged a 4.0/9 for this race. The race was up +3% over last year's 3.9/9 and ranked as the highest-rated event of the day. Season-to-date, NASCAR Sprint Cup Racing on FOX is averaging a 5.4/12 among the metered markets. That's up +13% over last year's 4.8/10
