TLDR - Following CUP Race# 8 @ Kansas Speedway, the JGR car of race winner #20 Matt Kenseth failed post race tech inspection due to an engine component(connecting rod) weighing 3g less then the minimum weight. Heavy penalties were assessed including a $200k fine, 6 week ...

    1. PENALTIES: looks like +NASCAR tech inspectors are working overtime this season!! Today the latest penalties handed out to last weeks race winner Matt Kenseth and his Joe Gibbs Racing team, included the loss of 50 championship points(driver and owner), a $200,000 fine and a 6 race suspension for crew cheif Jason Ratcliff
    2. INFRACTION: 1 connecting rod that was approximately 3g lighter than the minimum weight of 525g.
