  2. No more physical iTunes gift cards, at least not if you get iTunes pass. Apple debuted its new iTunes Pass service in the US and UK this week, after first rolling it out in Japanese iTunes stores. It lets users to buy iTunes Store credit directly... without the need for physical gift cards.

  5. Aereo a cable company? We told you last week that after the US Supreme Court ruled against Aereo, the company's CEO sent a letter to a U.S. district court in New York saying that because the Court smacked down Aereo by calling it a cable company, the company is entitled therefore to be licensed as a cable company. However, CNBC is reporting this morning that US copyright officials have told Aereo they do not consider it a "cable company" under the terms of copyright law. Nice try, Aereo.

  6. Former Panama dictator Manuel Noriega is suing the makers of "Call of Duty." Noriega's image and name is a game character in Activision Publishing's "Call of Duty: Black Ops II," and he's suing the company for unlawfully using his image for monetary gain. Noriega was convicted in the United States of drug dealing in 1992. He served 15 years in the US, and is now serving a 20-year sentence for murder and money laundering in Panama. I guess he fears Call of Duty might damage his reputation.
